man...I always hit backspace after I've written a bunch and it takes me back to the previous page, and when I return forward all my writing is gone...ugh!
anyhows, I noticed there are alot of new names in here since I quit posting in here a few years back, and I just wanted to take a moment to throw out a few howdies to those folks I am unfamiliar with as well as to those whose posts I have been reading for years (like the rainbow guy w/the crazy 'stache). There are also alot of names I don't see (B. King for instance, must be dedicating his time to the dental thing...lots of studying I'm sure.) I am still not able to devote the time to this forum that I would like...to answer Q's and whatnot..but I figured I'd introduce myself anyhows.
I started out chatting in the old acme pet chat room back in 94 maybe(?) under the name of my first Iguana which was not named after the flintstone's dog, but rather a cuban friend I had once known, a strange little fellow named "Dino" . I remember "hawkeye" and "slimey" were some of the folks I chatted with back then...amy is a really great person whom I am certain is still participating somewhere. Obviously the switch was made to kingsnake as soon as I got wind of it and I am grateful to both j.hollister and jeff B. for their dedication to this now massive center of shared knowledge. And as time has progressed so have I in my life as I am now married w/3 wonderful children, 2 time consuming jobs and a room full of slthery friends whose food bill often exceeds my own. I also recently moved into a new home as well as a new computer. I have always kept reptiles since I can remember (bugs before that) and I didn't get seriously into the breeding aspect of it until about 7 years ago and have since bred green iguanas multiple times, ball pythons, softshell turtles, common columbian and more recently 'true' redtails. I have dedicated much time reading and studying everything I could on herps and have a sick amount of books and magazines and spent even longer trying to apply it. I am mostly boids now, but if I could financially swing it my home would have a room similiar to that of the thawed cavemen in the movie 'iceman'. hope this gives us a jumpstart on things.

You never experience life until you have kids..then you realize what you should have done rather then what you did do
