how to get babies started on veggies???

shortydsm Nov 11, 2003 04:21 PM

My baby is btwn 6-8 wks old (that's just a guess) & he/she han't shown any interest in veggies. I haven't tried the pellets yet, should I? What kind is best? I tried to give him some of my iguana's salad (collard greens, squash, etc)... he just licked it & that was it.

If one of my babies isn't interested in his veggies I wiggle it and then it seems much more interesting, what also helps is to put some insects between the veggies, so that he'll eat it along with his insects. If there are more beardies in the enclosure: seeing eating is following with eating.

Many beardies dont show interest in veges until about 4 months old but some do. Mine like gratted carrots try gratting carrots and put a lil bit in front of him and see wut he does.
