Artificial Snapper Hibernation HELP!

How can you artificially hibernate aquatic, preferably snapping turtles artificially inside your house. Iv'e heard of many people doing it in the refridgerator but I wanted to know how you go about doing that. I need lots of ideas, and only stuff that you know works. Thanks
