how long does it ussually take for an iguana to get used to its new home and start eating? i got mine on sunday and i have not seen it eat yet(tho it may have when i was not in the room). also would it not be eating as much because it is in the middle of a shed.

also my basking spot if between 97-100*(yes i used a thermometer and should i make it a little higher?) and i mist 2-3 times a day.

Could be up to 2 weeks. It is a mini-depression or homesickness.

what are you feeding it that you can't tell if it's eating or not...if you give it greens, fruits, veg's...etc you should be able to tell if he's eating or not...just my opinion....

Concerning the temperature question:

97-100 degrees should be great. Dont go much higher or else you'll cook your little friend.
