Hi,
The temps are perfect. You should never feed your uro ice berg lettuce, however. It has no nutrients, just water. Leafy greens, such as collard, mustard, dandelion and turnip greens, need to make up 90% of their diet, kale is ok if fed sparingly. You can also give with the greens some de-thawed frozen mixed veggies (corn, carrots, green beans, lima beans, and peas), squash, apple, birdseed, pumpkin, radish, sweet potato, cucumber, de-spined cactus pads and prickly pear cactus, to make up a little more than 9% of the diet. Live foods, if even fed at all, can't make up more than 1-2% (2 mealworms a week at most). I never feed mine live foods, since I have a high respect for life, and find it digusting. I supply them with Rep-Cal adult bearded dragon pellets every now and then for a little extra protein (some people give tofu) but they do fine as vegetarians, if provided with a large variety of food and the proper vitamin supplements. You can also try green iguana food, and I believe tortoise food is fine (as tortoises eat the same thing as uros and are strict vegetarians) just make sure it isn't turtle food, but tortoise food. Also, if they are hard pellets, soak them for 5 minutes in water or fruit juice to soften them up. Hope this helps! Have fun with your new uro
