20 gallon long tank

svt-sinister Nov 12, 2003 06:46 AM

I was doin some reading and i read that you can keep a pair of ackies in a 20 gallon long tank for about 1 year.. Is this true? If not, what would be suitable for a pair of ackies (yellow)

That might work for 2-3 months, after all an ackie can be sexually mature at 6 months old. A 4x2x2 ft cage will hold a pair as a minimum. With monitors sooner or later you need big cages, a good idea to plan for it before you get the animal. Get the Daniel Bennett Savannah book it will answer 3/4 of your questions or more and bring on newer better questions, and have you understand what a monitor is before you buy one.
