How good is an iguana's vision?

Solaris16 Nov 12, 2003 08:33 PM

Hi Everyone,

I know iguanas see well, but how well? Do they see in color? Myka seems to have an excellent sense of sight, and I've been wondering for awhile just how excellent it is. Any ideas?

Thanks, Wendy

I'm no researcher But From personal Observation, They have VERY good vison. Yes, From What I've seen, they do see in color. I've even heard of Some igs attacking people when they wear a red shirt, but not when they wear a shirt of any other color. So Exactly HOW good in comparison to Human Vison, I couldn't tell ya. But From My Observations, They have really good eye sight.

gradations of color that we definately can't! But their night vision is very poor. I read this in the Ultimate Owner's Manual, and it solved for me why Bud acts scared of me when we're somewhere not well lit. As soon as I turn the lights on, he's fine!
