Regenerated Tail Question........

Sara2 Nov 12, 2003 08:53 PM

This is my only leo i have ever owned with a regrown tail.
My question is can they not store as much fat in there tail as one that never lost it's tail?
This female I have is bulging at the sides from her fat pockets in her armpits. In the pic you can see the rolls a little bit.
It looks like she is ready to nurse babies, lol!
Tink they are so big because of the tail thing?

I don't know, that tail's pretty fat, too! Maybe she's just a little too fat...

Looks nice to me...My favorite of my leopard geckos right now is a normal with a regrown tail and she is pretty fat under the arms as well so maybe it is cause by having a regrown. Her tail is one of my favorite parts about her..hah

Someone else's is like that. I wasn't really worried just wondering if it was the regrown tail.

I have two with regrown tails, they don't seem to have any problem storing fat in their tails. And as for the comment that she is two fat, I prefer my leo to be chunky. Mine haven't had any ill effects from it. I think your gecko is beautiful.

Then I don't worry about the eating and such. I'll be breeding her soon so I am acually glad she has some weight on her.
Thanks

I'm not sure if a regrown tail would impact the leo's body fat storage, but you have a gorgeous leo there.
