Color me surprised

Well, I had a lizard ladder and repti hammock set that I bought yeaaars ago stowed away in my closet. I didn't really think that leos were into climbing much, but after seeing a lot of people on here with the hammock in their enclosures I thought I'd give it a shot. Now, while I was remodeling, I figured I'd also put up the lizard ladder there just for kicks. The surprising thing, is that my leo loves the hell out of that ladder. He can't get enough of it, he climbs up and down (often times content to just stay up high for a while) all night long. I had no idea that my leo would love to climb as much as he does. Maybe he thinks he's a tokay gecko? LoL. Do any of your leos out there have repressed climbing lust?

LOL... right on.. that's good to know.. I've been thinking about putting one of those hammocks in the tank for my girls.. but have been hesitant because I know they aren't 'climbers' by nature.. maybe I'll get one now..

Mine's a climbing machine lately. She's constantly climbing up on top of her hot hide (a sloped back cave-like dealie). She just started doing it this week, and I always find her up there right before dinner and late in the evening. (After she's eaten dinner and had a flat-as-a-pancake nap in the middle of the heat pad area)

I want to get some taller stuff to give her some adventure. Whenever she's out of her tank she has this obsession with climbing to the highest point she can (usually the top of my head if I'm sitting with her on my lap).

What's a reptile ladder? I've never seen one of these. The hammocks sound pretty cool. I'm just as surprised as you that they enjoy them. Maybe my little girl would appreciate one for xmas...

The ladder I'm reffering to is the Zoo Med Lizard Ladder. It's basically a triangle of green netting that's a different shape than the hammock they make. Check it out, my leo loves it.
