Just how stupid can a male breeder be you might ask????

JohnLokken Nov 12, 2003 10:42 PM

My male hypo is in with my big female Argentine......Now, mind you....I do get excited when I see him on top of her with his love squeezes. So, at times he is doing ok.

Right now he is pressed against the wall spurring himself. You got it. His little spur is going crazy one you know who. Himself.

I thought I have seen everything. I have now seen an elephant fly.

I just thought you would get a good laugh out of my pain. LOL! I'm never going to get myself Salmontines.

So far this year for me I have two pair going: one that seems to know what they're doing (both have been bred before successfully, just not to each other) and another new pair where the male appears to be begging and the female keeps curling up in the corner and pushing him off. Maybe I'll get one litter this year............

they do as well as they seem to do. For a critter with no arms or legs and a looooooong slender body where "things" aren't readily apparent.....it's a wonder that the males EVER find the right place......and more than once too!!! Mr Hershey was doing the backwards position the other day, with a firm grasp and zeroing in on his lady's neck Of course I had to open the enclosure door and "quack" him a little about how silly he looked. His partner looked underwhelmed. I swear she rolled her eyes at me
