Are these anole eggs?

Matt_015 Nov 12, 2003 11:04 PM

I found these in my woodpile in my backyard. They are about 1/4th an inch in diameter and hard, as well as already hatched. The only reptiles I have living wild in my yard are -

Mediterranean Geckos
Green Anoles
Rough Green snakes

There might be other stuff, but I've never seen anything else other than the ones I mentioned. And I've never seen the rough green's in the backyard where the woodpile is, unless I put them there. For a while there were a couple of green Anoles that hung out around the woodpile, so I think this is the most probably conclusion, but I wanted someone elses input.

Sorry for the bad photo, its the best my cheap-o digital camera could do.

I'm sorry, but you'll need to take a better photo. There's absolutely no way to identify it. Many reptile eggs are white, and half an inch long.

They *look* like anole eggs, but they should be soft and leathery, not hard. I'm not sure about Mediterranean House geckos and the Rough Green snakes, but I'd assume the same of them... maybe it is a Mediterranean House gecko, though.

The med. geckos bodies are about as wide as the egg's are, though! So thats why I don't think it came from them.

I know its a piss poor photo, but based on the only reptiles I found in my backyard I hoped someone could narrow it down for me.
