I just learned that the giant Sulawesi retic at the San Antonio Zoo died a couple of days ago. The cause is unknown. She was 13.5 years old. At death she measured 24' 9" and weighed 290 pounds.

I'm so sorry to hear that. She will definately be missed by all.
Dave, do you have any other pictures of her that you can post? I always loved looking at pictures of that big girl. She was a very impressive Sula.

She was so young. Obviously there will be a necropsy performed on her, right? And of course this is the same female that you and Tracy sold to them some years back, right?
Update us if you get word on the results of the necropsy. Again, my condolences.

I'm so sad to hear that...I used to go and see her when I lived in San Antonio. She was a truly majestic snake. I know that she'll be missed there.
