New Red Easterns

just got in a clutch of eastern hogs from NC. Half are red phase and half are a nice high contrast gray and black. 8 of the 11 were taking scented pinks right out of the box!

Here's a nice comparison of the two color phases.
The normals have the red in their gene...just not showing it, THOUGH they came from the same parents. Looks like NC is the best for red easterns...though TX ain't far behind.

You know, Hognoses are my husbands favorite snake of all time. They have "personality". I can't wait to show him these pics. He'll just cry. Love that red..
