five lined skinks

hi all ,
I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about five lined skinks or owned any I have 2 of them they are rescues and From what the Vet said they are rare and I am assuming so after all the legal stuff I had to go through to keep them here they were wild caught after being found injuried have had them about 2 mo but only able to bring them home Yesterday they are non Releasble like many other animals I have but I was just wondering if anyone Else had these sweet little lizards or knew any thing about them .

I've kept them before and they make great display animals. I don't have any specific advice on them that you may not already intuitively have, but if you have specific questions I'll do my best to answer them.

The care is easy, as for any small insectivorous skink. Rarity depends on species and location. Where are you? In Massachusetts it is very rare. There are only two records both from the 1800's. They are rare in RI and rare but still present in CT. This speices is E. fasciatus.

i live in baltimore MD the vet that I work with on all my rescue says that they were a Rare Species I was not to sure all I know is I had to sign some paper work to be able to Bring them home Basicly saying I will Give them good Care and Stuff . any way thanks for Replying

I have one. She's a fantastic animal. Even tolerates some handling. Looks like you have a pair there. If she lays eggs, what are you going to do with the offspring? wink, wink
