Nectar substitutes

4everherpn Nov 13, 2003 01:31 PM

I've heard of using baby food to substitute for nectar. What varieties of baby food work best? What kind do you use?

Also is this an important aspect of the diet of R. ciliatus? I'm thinking of starting a colony soon. I know when I worked at FWzoo we gave them "nectar", but I failed to ask the importance of it while there.

Thanks

As a staple diet, i recommend the crested gecko diet by zoomed. All my cresties love it and its much healthier than babyfood.

I am using

1 part Turkey baby food
2 parts peach baby food
1 part honey
1 part reptivite

My roommates crestie loves it and so does my leo.
