Hey, congratulations on the new leo. I have a quick question. How aggressive is he? I found a baby blizzard that was just WAY to overly aggressive. I was wondering how your new leo is doing? Congratulations again.

LeoLover456 May 31, 2003 10:54 AM

i just got him but he isnt that agressive when the guy took him out of the cage at the store. i got him because my old leo was a female but the guy at the pet store said it was a male and it had eggs. so i took it back 2 get mi promised male

bmills May 31, 2003 11:19 AM

That's good he isn't that agressive. My 3 leos are extremely tame, so I was looking for a tame leo, and I Love blizzards, they are so beautiful. Congratulations on the new leo. Hope everything goes well..

LeoLover456 May 31, 2003 11:42 AM

Thanxs he hasnt eaten yet tho but i only got him yesterday so im not worried. bi the way how long do leos usually go without eatin once u get them

bmills May 31, 2003 11:46 AM

My 8 month old normal went about 3 days...my new baby patternless ate the same day I got her...but my year old albino, she didn't eat for almost 2 weeks. I was really worried about her. But now she has a HUGE old fat tail, and is really healthy and active. It just depends on the leos. Each is different. I wouldn't get to worried, just keep trying.

LeoLover456 May 31, 2003 11:53 AM

thanx i will
can u tell me if this is a good setup:
bone-aid san, a dry and wet hide, a uv light, a 60 wat bulb, a heatin pad, and a calcium and water dish, an 2 rocks. this is all in a 10 gal tank

bmills May 31, 2003 01:20 PM

It sounds fine. I know they don't need UV light because they are noctornal, so just a heat lamp will work. 82-90 during the day, and 75-80 at night. Also, you will have to watch your leo with teh sand because they can ingest it and get impacted, and they can die from this. It does not mean that your leo will get impacted, just a possibility, so make sure he/she is pooping. I like to use reptile turf, but just a personal preference, better safe than sorry. It sounds fine to me otherwise...jsut wanted to give a little input. Hope this helped.

bmills May 31, 2003 03:04 PM

I have a 8 month old normal female, a year old albino female, and a 1 month old female patternless. I just got inot geckos about 2 months ago myself. I have been doing intense research, and I will most likely breed next summer...after I learn some more and make sure my 3 females are doing good. Here is a picture of the three.

nice pics
wat is ur tank setups

bmills May 31, 2003 03:21 PM

Here is my 20 gallon long tank. It has my albino and normal in it. Everything is the same except I now I have a toilet paper roll, they love to climb in and on it, and a calcium dish in my setup. I don't have a pic of my 10 gallon with my baby in it yet. I will get one on the internet later. Here is hte 20 gallon long.

bmills May 31, 2003 03:22 PM

When I add my 3rd leo to this tank, I will be putting in more hides, and some climbing sticks because they love to climb, but for now, I just have the dry and humid hide.

LeoLover456 May 31, 2003 04:53 PM

nice setup
mine doesnt look half as good as urs cause i was short on money

LeoLover456 May 31, 2003 05:45 PM

wait i thought females got egg bound if they dont breed thats y i got rid of mi female

bmills May 31, 2003 06:03 PM

I am not sure if they do or not. I was never clear. I got females because I can house them together, all 3 of them, and they won't fight like males will.

ZeR0 May 31, 2003 06:39 PM

Females dont get eggbound if you DONT breed them its when you DO breed them when they're too young or dont enough calcium.

bmills May 31, 2003 11:33 PM

This is good to hear, thanks for all the help.

LeoLover456 Jun 01, 2003 05:57 AM

LeoLover456 Jun 01, 2003 05:55 PM

ZeR0 Jun 01, 2003 06:47 PM

hypo tang female right now, and shes gravid, on her 4th clutch I have her in a 20 gallon long tank with repticarpet substrate. She got one large humid hide on the warm end, and one little cave type thing on the cooler side. She also has a peice of driftwood that she loves to climb on at night.

LeoLover456 Jun 02, 2003 02:39 PM
