the bad umbrella tree....i think

taralynn_hughes Nov 13, 2003 03:22 PM

I have two different types of umbrella tree, one I know is safe, and I believe the other is the bad one. Neither is in with, or going in, with the chameleons. It has pointier leaves, and they aren't as close together as the good one.

I hope this helps

can you see the difference?

But it won't matter if it is not to be eaten.
I stay away from both with my veileds and use hibiscus wich is non toxic, plastic plants or pothos which is less toxic.
There are very few completely non toxic plants that will do well in a cham enclosure.

I was all excited about getting a new, pretty hibiscus for the Carpet's enclosure...well, after about a month, I nearly killed it. It did NOT like being a cham plant. I replaced it with a short ficus.

I've recently gotten some schefflera for Pygmy enclosure and Carpet enclosure...I certainly hope I got the right ones. Some actually said arboricola, but one said petite variegated...but they have the same exact number of leaves and the same type of longer more narrow leave. One just has a bit of variegation in the leaves.
