Red worms ok?

Just curious are red worms ok to feed to my WC Dekay's snakes? thanks

They would be completely ok, but I just don't know if a wild caught Brown Snake would eat them. I'd try worms. But you could try red worms, no harm.

I buy worms from bait stores for my wc dekay. Some of them are rather large so I cut them into halves. He loves them.

If you are talking about the red worms used for composting or that are found in manure piles their toxicity may be to much for your snake. You are what you eat so to speak and worms that eat manure and like organic matter, have high toxicity levels. You could try it but night crawlers or regular garden worms are a much safer food source.

They are eating the red wrigglers which are used for composting, however i have seen no ill effects and it is winter so i can't get many other kinds of worms, they are also not that big so i'm not shure they could handle the worms used for bait around here (Ontario)
