My snake didn't constrict?!?

Luckiefool420 Nov 13, 2003 05:55 PM

Today I feed my snake her first rat and she took it down like a champ! Today was also only the second time that I have feed her prekilled rather than live. Last week with the two mice i gave her she constricted them both and took them down like normal. But today she just kinda looked at the rat then started swallowing. Is that normal?? I always thought that they still treated it like live pray? Also she was 329 grams before feeding and the rat was 80 grams. That wasn't to big was it?

each snake is different. you can feed some f/t for years and they will strike and constrict every time. others won't.
