my power went out too. i got home while it was out but lucky i have a couple extra sockets available on my power backup for my computer and plug my lights in there. i think the power was out for about a 1/2 hour when i got home from what my neighbours say.

i think pogo should be okay. once he warms up he should get moving.

My power went out during an icestorm last year and the temperatures in my house went down to maybe lower than 30 in some parts. Luckily we have a wood burning stove (it's like a fireplace), so I had him safely stowed away in a rubbermaid container about 4 feet from the stove, which kept his temperature at about 70 or so until night fall, when it went down to probably below 50. We got up in the morning and he was so cold he sort of started brumating I think (it was his first year, so he hadn't brumated that winter). We got the fire going again and heated him up a little bit until the power came back on. It took him about a week to recover from it. He wouldn't eat for the first couple of days.

Luckily we were sort of prepared for this. Imagine if we had been away for the weekend or something. I don't think sid would have made it through the 30 degree temperature his tank was that couple of days.

I think he should be fine.

Got him home around 10 p.m. and even though it was lights out at that time I kept them on till just a few minutes ago at 1:19 a.m. I fed him about a hour and a half after I got home cuz he went all day and half the evening, and he seemed okay..took 7 crix and 2 mealies! He did a poo about a 1/2 hour later so I am going to keep an eye on him...I have a nightlight on him right now even though my apartment is at 70 degrees...so we'll see what happens!

I'm not completely sure of the size, history of pogo but it's obvious you genuinely care and take very good care of him.

If I remember right mealies are a high risk for compaction and lack much nutrition. If you can't find anything on them let me know but you may want to check it out if you haven't already.

Glad your power's back on!!
