You're kidding, right? A newbie? I was certain you were a professional herpetologist. Kriky! You saw right through the amelanistic bloodred fraud I was trying to perpetrate. It was just a lucky guess on your part then, huh?
Feeling a little sarcastic tonight? I think this is just somebody here to learn a thing or two. I'm sure at some point you were learning too. I don't know how cool it is to make fun of somebody the first time they show up. There are a lot of people that have learned a lot of things about their new pets/hobby here.
LOL yeah I'm feeling sarcastic. I always get that way when somebody who has no idea what they're talking about blithely declares that my '02 amel blood red from Soderberg/South Mountain is in fact - not a blood red. ( scroll down)
At least the first guy ( who also has no idea what he's talking about) was somewhat diplomatic in his ignorance.
It seems they've looked at some pictures somewhere and now fancy themselves authorities on the subject.
LOL maybe I'm being petty, but when someone besmirches the honor and pedigree of my dear Bloody F. Mess, I must lash out.
~ heh.
I wasn't sure about your amel blood myself, until I saw who you got it from, and that it was an AMEL blood. I honestly don't understand why some people feel the need to belittle other peoples snakes. I guess boredom maybe? I've had questions on the labels of some snakes I see posted on here, but always assume the owner of the snake knows better than I do what that snake is....And if Someone does question it's morph, then why not say something like, "that sure looks like a plain amel to me?" rather than "Sorry buddy that's not a blood." That just seems awfully rude to me. Oh well, can't expect everyone to be mature I guess

Obviously we don't know each other and I can understand why you would feel insulted by someone saying a snake is not this or it's not that. Sorry. What I should have said is by the pictures you posted (and my ignorance for not looking at all of them first) the first pic was not an amel blood. You did in fact correct this a post or two below but I just quickly replied without much thought. Again sorry.
Understanding that you purchased that "Amel Blood" from Don and he is 100% reliable (IMO) then I can't/won't argue with you. I can say that it does not look like some other amel bloods I have seen in the past or even recently but who is to say those were good examples to begin with.
One of the down sides or up sides of the forum is you post, others reply. You can like it or dislike, agree or disagree, it's just an opinion and like peoples butts, most stink.
Whatever your snakes are they are pretty and I'm sure they will go on to produce killer babies for you. I wish you the very best and I never meant to cause hard feelings or provoke you in any way.
Happy Snake Keeping
Russ
To cheer you up I'm including a picture of my albino hognose....no really
actually it wasn't a lucky guess and i could not be a pro herpotologist i'm only 12
