alternate dart foods?

jbeetle Nov 13, 2003 10:05 PM

i was just wondering if anyone has ever tried to feed or culture any of the following insects as other food sources for darts? any of the forms of leafhoppers, any kinds of beetles (beside rice flour beetles, which we mainly use their larvae anyways), house flies, and mantids (i know chameleons love mantids, and that you can get their egg cases from a lot of biological or even garden supply companies)? thanks.

I've collected leaf hoppers in the summer and the frogs really go after them. However, I've never tried to raise them. I should think it would be quite a chore.
