Female breeding weight?

Passport Nov 13, 2003 10:35 PM

I know I've seen this discussed before but a search of this forum brought up everything but what I am looking for. What is the bottom line weight for the female to safely breed? Is there one for the male also? Thanks.

1500 grams minimum.

It appears you are looking for a definite quantifier. Unfortunately this is not a cut and dry subject where you can place a number on it as a set rule.
I have included a link, pay particular attention to what Jeff says. It’s very insightful as to the "weight issue" being animal specific.
Please don't be offended, but if you need to ask "what is the bottom line weight" then she is probably too small.
