Breeding rats

khalliaar Nov 13, 2003 11:57 PM

I would like to start breeding rats, the only problem is some of the people who live with me would have a problem with it. I was just wondering that if I kept them in my room and cleaned their cage everyday, would there be a very noticable smell? I need rats fairly badly since my pet store only sells adults and my bp is too small for those, is fairly small for his age and is already eating about 2-3 adult mice, one sitting, at 5 and a half months old. Thanks for the help

I HAVE 35-40 BREEDING RATS IN MY BASEMENT. I CLEAN THE TUBS TWO TA THREE TIMES PER WEEK AND YOU WOULD NEVER KNOW I HAD THEM. I STARTED BREEDING MY OWN FOR SIMULAR REASONS. NOBODY SOLD RATS AS FEEDERS AND THE ONLY RATS YOU COULD FIND WERE $10 EACH. SO NEEDLESS TO SAY WITH LOTS OF SNAKES THAT COULD GET COSTLY.GOOD LUCK.
