Cleaning

My ig takes fat dumps on his branch/chill-spot. He is also always on it because it is the closest spot to his ceramic heat lamp. Anyways... I need to take this branch out and wash it cause it is getting quite un-attractive. Should I just take it out back and hose it off then dry it? But im afraid this will take too long and my friend might get uncomfortable in his empty space. Is there a quick way to do this?

You don't say how big the log is. Find a way to soak it underwater for an hour or so. Scrape and wire brush it clean with lots of rinsing, then re-install it wet. Your ig doesn't need it to be dry. If you decide to use chlorine bleach, it must dry before your ig uses it.
