smoke inhalation from fire please help!

stikigekko Nov 14, 2003 10:19 AM

We had a small fire in our apartment this morning and the whole thing was filled with smoke. I have a large iguana, ball python, 2 crested gecko's, golden gecko, and a leopard gecko. Are my pets going to be ok? Is there anything that I can do to help them? I am so worried right now.

If your reptiles show no symptoms of difficult breathing, they will probably be alright. If there are any signs of labored breathing, you should bring them to a vet for bronchial treatment.

Thanks, they seem to be doing fine. Our Iguana is definately stressed out but he shows no signs of having trouble breathing. Hopefully all goes well.
