Tank Temp

MikeST Nov 14, 2003 10:23 AM

My big guys finally ate more last night.
I covered their tank mid-week with loose saran wrap. Just as an experiment. The temp gradually rose to about 83 over a couple days.
Definately had a better appetite after being at that temp for a few days.
Still haven't eaten anything during the day. If I put food in at night and turn off all the lights, its usually at least partially gone.
They ate about 2 ounds of catfish and misc. chicken pieces

your post made me think of something.
my turtles havent had no heat in a while so i figured that was why they werent eating as much.

but i just know remembered they like to eat at night and there is almost always a light on were there at. why did i remember this earlier, lol,i used to feed them right before i turned lights off but had a move and there out in the shop so it just slipped my mind, lol.
so i am gonna start turning all lights off and see diff in eating.
thanks
jess
