I just bought a 5-6 inch painted turtle about a week ago. His name is Nemo because he was the smallest turtle in the tub at the petstore by far, and one of the larger turtles ate off 2 toes on one front paw and one on the other front paw! He eats every other day, normally just a pellet diet, guppy fry, garden snails (more as a treat), collard greens (which he doesn't like much) and crickets...he also chews on a cuttlebone on occasion! He has heat and uv lights....can I do anything else for him? I've never had an aquatic turtle before! By the way, he swims great...the missing toes arent even noticable unless you look really close!
