Just thought I'd toss a photo of another project on here. Pseudoxenodon Bambusicola from upper elevations of Vietnam and China

One of the most beautiful animals I've ever held !

Can you post some full body shots of that animal. It appears to have a lot of irridescence, and I'll bet that photo does not do it justice. How about telling us a bit about these guys. I'll be the first to admit, I don't know beans about these.

There's not a whole lot written about these guys. They have a skin that almost resembles Velvet to the naked eye, and are rather docile animals. They eat frogs and lizards in nature, though should (by the size being around 30" be able to ingest rodents once established. These guys (Ghost Snakes) appeared on my Chinese Exporter's venomous list when I first saw their photos. So little was known about them, that even those collecting them believed them to be venomous (rear-fanged). There appears to be several types of Ghost Snakes in Vietnam and China, and I'm hoping to bring in more color variations and possibly establish these guys ? Absolutely gorgeous animals !

I'll post a few more photos once I'm off work and at my home computer

Thanks, Stephen Emerick

Steve, nice pic.
They are interesting animals, along with the others you've shown. From the little I've gleaned about Pseudoxenodon, they might be a Xenodontine snake (rear-fanged, like hognose, etc.) They might also spread a slight hood. I'd treat them like a hognose that is humid-adapted and probably cool adapted too, if they're from the mtns. Looking forward to your other pics. Thanks.

PS: How are those Oligodons coming along?

to read about them in Schulz's book but they aren't in there. You are definatly opening new doors for the rest of us.
