weird behavior

my bp has been acting weird since i fed him last.

i fed him on monday, and he has rarley been coming out.

he usually comes out of his hide box around 9pm and plays till atleast 12am...but he hasnt done that since i fed him.

could that be normal??...do u think maby hes getting ready to shed??

no.i wouldnt say that....but he did eat it "ass backwards" (for use of a better term)

that might be the cause of it then. i have a boa that just insists on eating prey ass end first. and it really wears her out. generally the whole thing is about a 45 minute ordeal and after that she is in the hide for the rest of the night. i am assuming that this last feed took longer than usual. is that right?

oh yea...definatly....it took about 30-45mins.and hes usually pretty fast

5 days is quite a long time. are you sure the snake isn't just coming out and tooling around when you are asleep? i have a royal that i rarely see out of her hide. but somehow the newspaper will get moved around and other indications will be present that she has been out. as long as temps and humidity are correct, i wouldn't really worry about it. assuming there are no other signs of illness. don't forget that royals are known to be very shy animals.
