I'd skip the pliers, try a moist q-tip instead.
you really should keep an eye on their toes after each shed, multiple layers can be tough to get off, and can lead to loss of toes.
the skin will constrict until no blood can get to the toes and they will eventually fall off. A friend of mine got a male leo from a local petstore that has stumps for every toe on his back feet.
Another thing to try if the q-tip/water doesn't work is a little vegetable oil.
The main thing is to get it off gently because it will definately be sore under a few layers.
Good luck!

Soak and Soak some more. Also I would take out her regular hide and leave just the humid hide for her. Make sure you keep it very moist. Also daily soakings will also help. You can also try a little mineral or vegetable oil on the dried skin.
