Try Bushmaster or D&J Reptiles. There Hard to come by. You should be careful when handling all retics period. However, Makasar are hard to trust. They get big and extreamly strong. I have a 13ft female and she throws me around. Keep in Mind that im 6'2 230lbs and can bench 330lbs. That could matter to her less. Shes only 60lbs but, here strength is comparab;e to that of a 16ft 100lb snake. Before you buy one consider this.
1. Most Makasar are wild caught
2. It takes months sometimes years to establish their trust.
3. They get big. My 13fter is only 14 months old.
4. They have huge melons for heads and thus, a bigger mouth then a normal retic.
5. Their bites suck a ER Doc took 30 teeth out of my arm and she didnt even get a full bite.
6. Their smart as all hell. Mine trusts me and me only and not complety. Anyone else messes with her shell give them hell.
Bottom line is this Makasars are not completly understood as well as most other locals. Getting a Maksar is risky I hate to say anything negative about retics but its the truth. I dont think anybody produced CB Makasars I could be wrong some correct me if im worng. Unless youve delt with WC juvemile or adult tics of any local and have your own method of gaining their trust I would recommend one. If you really want a giant im pretty sure NERD is producing some CB Sulwaesis this year or try a CB Silver. But if you really want one then just be prepared for the ultimate test in Tic Keeping

That's true...Now I will definitely consider a Sulawesi or Silver retic. I'm only 5'8" and 120 lbs. and can bench nothing! LOL...Thanks for the help sin city retics!!!...Do you guys sell any retics?

Just to clarify for you-a Makasar retic is a sulawesi retic. The is a port called Makasar on the island of sulawesi and the animals that are captured from that area are called Makasar retics. They are really the same animal and only seem to have small differences. They have large dark eyes and the white under their head is a little darker. They also tend to have nicer patterns. The largest retic ever recorded was 33' and was captured or killed in this area. Nred has a sulawesi that has been breeding with a Makasar but I don't know if the female is pregnant yet. I'll post some of my sulawesi and Makasar retics

Again
Here is another one
and again lol.....

Glad to see some interest in these beauties! To any one looking for nice wc 'sulawesi related' locales, it may be hard to get them until next year. As you probally already know, there are unfortunately very limited quotas of animals that can be exported from a particular area. I was told that the Sulawesi's won't really be avail. until next year. Hope this helps, but if anyone finds any available, please let me know.
Todd
Actually the reason it is hard to get them from sulawesi is because the guy who was the exporter from there died. Nobody else over there really exports them on a consistent basis
