Bearded Dragon Eggs!

LostDragon May 31, 2003 12:40 PM

Hello I'm new to this forum so I thought I would start by asking a question. I have a bearded dragon and I found him a girlfriend so now I have a clutch of 18 eggs in my incubator. I have have found all the info online on how to care for the eggs except, How long are the eggs incubated for before they hatch? I have posted at several other forums with no response. I would like to know when to expect the little guys so I'm ready.

Thank you,
Lost Dragon

Much depends on your incubation temp. Mine started hatching at 57 days with a temp of 82-83 degrees. I've heard of them taking almost 90 days too.

Christy's right.....some of it depends on incubation temps and must also be some genetics involved as I incubate mine all at the same temp 83-84 and depending on the female, their clutches tend to hatch around the same number of days each time.....I have one that starts around the 60th day.....and other extreme is a female's clutches that never start before the 80th day and sometimes not until the 86th.....

The usual range is 56-80 days with an average of about 70 days.....patience is definitely a virtue here....good luck
