Pin Oak leaves ok?

the only Oak leaves around my house are Pin Oak... are these ok to put on the tank, has anyone else used them? i know that they must give off something because nothing grows under this tree. So let me know what you think. thanks in advance

There are alot of pin (swamp) oaks around here and I have used these for a long time with no issues at all. They make my tanks smell sooooo fresh too!
