Need some egg help - before I loose this group too.

My female laid 5 eggs earlier this year, and I lost all of them because I could not find the right information on how to handle and incubate them.
Would someone please put together a comprehensive and detailed post of how to care for the eggs.
My first problem is that she laid the eggs in the regular cage. The cage has very little moisture (15% humidity, I live in Arizona) and I think the eggs dried out before I could get them out of the cage.
The second problem is I have no information on how to incubate them. One post says 80 degrees the next says 72-95 degrees. When I tried higher temps I got yelled at saying that mid 80's was too high!!!

What do I need to do to set up a place for my female to lay her eggs and them not to dry out before I can get to them? I work days and may not be able to get to the eggs for 12 hours after she's laid them. I plan to move her to a cage where I can supply the right bedding and moisture, but I don't know what the right bedding and moisture is to let her lay, cover them and not dry out the eggs.

Next problem is the incubator. What should I use as an incubator? What is this pearlite and vermiculite everyone talks about and where do I get it?
What temps should I use? Since we live in Phoenix we keep the house temp at 80 degrees ( /- 2 degrees) all the time, so I may not need to add any additional heat sources.
Do I remove the eggs from the cage, put them in the incubator and keep them wet? Dry? In between?

I really was surprised to find them breeding again (caught them 3 days ago). I thought I was going to have to wait until next spring again.

Please help me and my lizards out.

Try searching both the old and new forum. I think that John and others has answered your questions a couple of times before.

I can give you a few details: I incubate my eggs at 84-86 degrees and they hatch perfect.
I put in a small plastic box around 25 cm x 15 cm and 8 cm high. Fill it with moist sand and put a couple of bricks over. That way I have had 3 clutches so far this year.
Pull the eggs out as soon as possible, but they will not dry out in the moist sand, so you should have time to get home from work.
Vermiculite is a very light material that holds the moist. I think that you can find it in flower stores or at your pet shop. Other materials will also work fine.
The eggs must not be wet and not dry – something in between will be fine. I did a search on “incubator reptile eggs” at www.google.com and it found more than 1000 sites with info on building an incubator.
Hope that this helps you a little.
