2003 desinger snow male cali king not wanting to eat

electricbluescat Nov 15, 2003 04:07 PM

He last ate on 11-6-03. the temps in my room are 80-85 in the day and in 75-77 at night. for a while i had no problem feeding him frozen thawed if i remember correctly the last pinkie he ate was a large one. could he just not be hungry? i am going to try to offer him live on sunday and see if that helps any.
he also had shed recently too so I know thats not the problem.
all of my other snakes are eating fine.

Why am I fighting to live

If I'm just living to fight?

Why am I trying to see ....

When there ain't nothing in sight?

Why am I trying to give

When no one gives me a try?

Why am I dying to live

If I 'm just living to die...

I don't see any reason to switch to live. It's only been a little over a week.If you switch to live, there is a small chnce you might have problems switching back. Just wait, it hasn't been very long at all.

hes eaten both before with no problems. he could just not be hungry. i tried frozen thawed again 2 nite and he would not eat it. whats strange is he was one of the better eaters of the bunch and I never really had a problem with his feeding habits.
have you ever had any kings to not eat for over a week for no specific reasons? all of my other snakes are eating just fine.

You can always try the paper bag trick. Put the snake and the food into a paper bag and leave it there for a few hours. Usually the food is gone when you open the bag.
