Ecko Update..... again....

Heather Nov 15, 2003 04:15 PM

Ecko Has shed His head and Torso. His feet and tail still have to shed. But Now that His head Is shed, His eyes are completely open and Bright and clear. He doesn't seem to have any more eye problems. He's gaining weight and growing like a weed! Just wanted to let you know. Thanks for all you help, ideas, and support! How does it feel to have saved this little guy's life? Without you guys, He wouldn't have made it long.... I'm sure He thanks you too.

Nice to see the update and I'm glad his eyes are looking good!

If he's shed his head and torso, I wouldn't wait more than a day at most to remove any remaining shed. Leos usually shed all at once, and as you probably know they can lose toes pretty easily from bad sheds.

If you do remove the shed yourself, you can use a spray bottle set on "mist" to spray the affected areas thoroughly. After a couple of minutes, use a wet Q-tip to gently rub downwards as if you were removing an expensive pair of gloves. Check all toes afterwards to be sure you got it all.

Good luck to you & Ecko, please keep posting!

Hi Heather

Nice to see an updated post on Ecko. You did a really great job at rehabilitating him and no one will ever be able to say otherwise.

We all had faith in you that you would be able to do it, and the moment that you got Ecko from that dealer, I truely believe that he knew that he was in caring hands, which gave him all the hope and strength he had left to give it another shot with you by his side.

Take Care, TLB
