I have had an 8 month old pair of U. henkeli for three months with no trouble. Last week my male developed an abcess in one of his hemipenes, he had it removed without anaesthetic and he seemed fine when I brought him home. I seperated him from his female to prevent him trying to use his hemipenes, I put him in a sterile enclosure (he is normally in a natural enclosure) to prevent any dirt getting into his hemipenes and making them worse. Since then he has gone off his food and his tail seems very floppy, I don't know whether or not to put him back in with her or not, I'm treating them both identical so it isn't dehydration, so I'm in debate what to do, any suggestions?
