I didn't want to scare it anymore, I tried my best to get this photo to come out.

I found a lizard outside, it let me pick it up. It is just a normal lizard.. I live in central FL.
It won't move much, its skin seems to be dry...
Its eyes are closed... well one is completely closed and the other is almost closed.. he looks very bad.
He is still breathing, and at a normal rate as far as I can tell.

What can I do? Does he need "vitamin shots" from a vet?
It is just going to die at this point?? Should I put him/her outside?

I put him in a plastic container, with a pitcher of hot water to make it warm inside and covered it with a pillowcase. I noticed it kept wanting to hide. It seems to be attracted to the warm pitcher and stays near it.

I don't think I have much time left.

Thank you, THANK YOU, if you are out there.

Kayla

Spray some water on his nose so he can drink. He'll lap it up if he's concious. That will give him some more time. I doubt he needs vitamins at this point, but a vet could probably help him out.

Peter: It's OK, I'll handle it. I read a book about something like this.
Brian: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't NOTHING?

looks like a brown anole.... a small one at that. might be acting sluggish if the temps have been a little cool down by you. i would set it up in a 10 gallon tank. keep it in the low to mid 80s during the day. drop to 75 at night. give it a lot of hiding places and things to climb on. fresh water in a shallow bowl. mist cople times during the day so it can drink off leaves and its self. feed it live insect like flys, criskets, and other little bugs of appropriate size. as far as taking it to a vet....i like lizards and such but it is an anole. and i thought brown anoles are actually the invading species in fl and not a native one. could be wrong though. but anyways it will cost an arm and leg probably to take it to the vet for you...i would rather see if you have a wild animal rehabilitator in your area and give it to them. or try to just set it up at your house. good luck
