You might want to try posting your message over on the arrow frog forum if you haven't already. I would consider all dart frogs to be small frogs but there is a lot of variation in size between species. An adult Dendrobates azureus will grow to around 1 1/2 inches in length while D. reticulatus only reaches 1/2 inch in length. The very small semi-arboreal group of dart frogs like D. reticulatus, ventrimaculatus, amazonicus, fantasticus, etc. are often reffered to as thumbnail species because adults don't general grow larger than an adult humans thumbnail. Phyllobates terriblis is probably the largest species of dart frog that is commonly availible, adults can grow to two inches.
F1 means first generation. It means that the frogs are from a pair of unrelated parents. If your goal is to ultimatly breed the frogs then its very important to pay attention to what generation your frogs are and what bloodlines you have.
