Well... getting my plans set up for breeding pairs already.
My first two hatchlings of the year are almost up to breeding size. Good weight, just still a lil young/short.

My SHCT is still kinda iffy. She never seems to gain much weight on the tail. She'll eat and fatten up body wise...just not really store fat in her tail or under the arms. She'll have a chbby belly. One of my other females was like this (but a lil thicker in the tail) and after her first clutch she started packing on weight like no tomorrow.Anyone think the SHCT may do the same or had experience with one like this?

On the other hand...winter cooled things down a bit too much lately and some of my leos are being picky eaters, One of my tangs has been a long and lean girl for a while, but seems worse now. She was in with a couple other females before I moved her. She's lost some weight, not a lot, but her tail is a bit thinner now. On the other hand, she grew a bit too.
I'm not really too worried about the weight yet, But the main thing is her color fading. I'm told she may be a CT cross...so maybe this is the dominant hypo gene showing up? I'm used to leos having colors fade when feeling ill so that made me panic a bit. She was more orange and spotted as a baby, but now she's getting more creamy orange with paler slate color spots.
I assumed it may be from stress of 2 other girls, but she hasn't changed much since I moved her out. Opinions?

On the better side of news...
My two best breeders females are fattened up bigger than ever before. They laid every 2 weeks like clockwork and 8 clutches each last season. I'll have a couple extra females this year too. Can't wait to see what'll pop up in the incubator. Sometimes I think the pre-breeding season is more exciting than the actual season XD
