Just wanted to share a few pics of my pair of C.d. dryinas copulating. They stayed locked-up over 12 hours! I hope the mating “took”, but I never really cooled the pair down. However, since their natural habitat is near the equator, I doubt the temperatures would fluctuate that much. I have heard it said that the breeding season for neotropical rattlers is more a function of wet/dry seasons than it is of temperature. Any thoughts on this?
Thanks,
Adam Stockton
