can anyone tell me what is the best kind of water..tap,bottled,filtered,etc. is best for snakes? I have been giving my corns and milk just tap water and they seem fine with that. I was just wondering...:-'

I always just give them the same filtered tap water I drink. I use other things for my amphibs, but that is due to their sensitivity to metals and other things in the water. But most of my snakes get just the same water I drink with the exception of the more aquatic ones.

Just for the heck of it, I give mine tap water that’s been run through a Brita filter. That’s for any metals (and other odd chemicals) that might be there. Any chlorine that might be present would actually evaporate out pretty quickly when the water is just standing there in the water dish, so chlorine wouldn't be a problem.

By the way, there’s no truth to the story (that some idiots are spreading!) that distilled water is bad for snakes.
