I have a first time mother who has layed her first two clutches right in the middle of tank...both of which have spoiled before i could get to them i've never had this happen before...i checked the temps and humidity and everything seems to be just right, so im not sure what the problem is...any suggestions on what i can do to fix it?

When my females lay eggs outside the moist hide they are often infertile to begin with. Is she house with a male? IF not, maybe you could try a reintroduction.

If the eggs are fertile I'm not sure what could account for her behavior. Is there another gecko in the tank that monopolizes the moist hide? If this is the case maybe try multiple hides. I have one female who will only lay her eggs in a hide that is partially over the UTH, I guess she like it warm. You could also try placing a hide where she's been laying her eggs.

Hope this helps,
Alice
