Hi, I have a 1 1/2 year old RES. I'm going away for a few days and have no one who can take care of him while I'm gone. Will he be OK if he doesn't eat for 2 1/2 days?

yup he will be fine as long as u feed him a really big meal before you leave...plus u should leave a couple guppies in the tank so if he gets hungry...he can always eat them...

i've heard of people feeding their RES once a week. so you have nothing to worry about. and i agree with the other poster--put some guppies. have fun on vacation!!!!!

2-1/2 days is nothing to worry over. You don't even have to leave him anything to eat (if fact it may be better that you don't -- if you leave plants and fish for him to chew on he will likely make a huge mess and you can come back to a fouled up tank) Feed him before you leave well and then as soon as you get back.
