I've tried to find Leos everywhere, and today at a petshop, I found one that his tail is almost gone. I was also at a different shop and was looking into a tank that had a Red Ear Slider turtle, and noticed a frog bunched in a corner trying to get out of the dirty foul stinky shallow water. Turns out it was a Asian Chubby Frog. I bought him for $8.99 at 2 inches long, is this a decent price? I love Leos, and I love Chubbies.

Decent price but you probably should not have bought it. Chances are it is stressed and sick. Best to let pet store animals die so at least the pet store doesn't get your money as support. If you want leo frogs just look at online supply lists. People sell them as feeders...Andy

Well, I don't belive that the animal should die to stop shops from selling them. I have a very good reptile vet that I'm taking the Chubby to on thursday. In the mean time, he's in a proper environment and burrowed 5 minutes after I placed him in a tank with 3 inches of moist soil. He is eating crickets at the moment, so he can't be too terribly stressed. Thanks.

It may seem cruel but if they sell it they will just get another and it will probably be in the same trouble as before. If you see something like that it is best to take action like call some sort of agency like the SPCA or health dept. Andy

It's not in my town, but I got off the horn to their health department. They're going to check the place out and get back to me.

Yesterday I got a call from the health department about the conditions of the shop, and they have to stay closed until they can improve the overall conditons of the animals and the shop.
