Questions about wax worms:

smurfskill Nov 16, 2003 03:46 PM

Are they very fatty? I've been using them to coax my cricket free beardie into eating his greeens and pellets, it's working, he eats a few pellets and greens after a wax worm, but i dont wnat to have to feed him wax worms to make him eat if theyre fatty and not nutritious. Id rather not even have to use the worms.

yes. waxies are great for beardies that need to be fattened up, but really theyre just treats. mostly fat, not a lot of nutrition (whyd you think they like em so much!). a beardie that gets too many waxies can even lose interest in crix and other less fun food. 1-2 a week is about the limit
