serpwidgets snake measurer. A great program available for free on his website. If however you have an apple that program won't work and then get mouse distance measurer from alphaomega software's website. This method takes some simple math calculations but works fine for me.

take a firm string not a stretchy one.run it from head to tail.pinch string with fingers. measure string.

Take a picture with the snake next to a ruler. Download this program, it's easy and the snake doesn't have to be in a straight line, (which I've NEVER seen mine in).

I've never compared it to the "string" method. But it seems to work well. I'm sure others have used it in here. Anyone else done a comparison on different methods and figured out which is more accurate?

i think getting it to crawl thru a tube that is only slightly larger than the snakes width would work well, but how your going to get the snake in the tube is beyond me..
