I went to the Philly Breeders show yesterday and got 100 Superworms, and some Lepard gecko dusitng powder
she LOVED it (only ate 8, but that was in 1 sitting) She is not even interested in Cricks this week

She must have just been waiting for a change in diet.

Glad you got her to eat a nice big meal.

I noticed the shed WHILE she was eating the superworms
and she has not gone hog wild since

AND

She is digging up her food sish again
do you think she is looking for a plact to put more eggs, or she is looking for her old eggs

she is pretty plump again, but not lumpy

Well, It does seem a little soon but I suppose it is possible.

If the first clutch was laid on 10/13 then it has only been 36 days. The shortest mine have gone was 47 days. Most have been between 55 and 60 days apart.

Again, I don't really know quite what is going on with the multiple clutches. Cheyanne had said something about finding an undeveloped egg string when she removed the mature eggs from a female who died egg-bound. If there are multiple egg strings and all are fertilized at one time then I would think there could be many factors that determine how far apart they would begin to develop.

If it were a matter of retained sperm and a new string develops as the previous clutch reaches maturity then I would think they would always be 4 months apart. So, I am assuming that there are multiple strings but don't know exactly what triggers the development. Maybe like so many other things it is partially the health and vigor of the female. If conditions are optimal perhaps the eggs begin developing sooner. Just guesses though, as I don't know the exact dynamics at work here.

If she does lay soon it will be a record time between clutches. Keep us posted on the digging and let me know as soon as she does lay them. Sometimes they don't look as lumpy with the later clutches. I would guess they are already stretched out a bit and the clutches usually get smaller from the first to the last.

Meanwhile my girls that laid did so anywhere from 40-57 days ago. Three of the four are looking quite plump and 2 are downright large and lumpy. I am looking for them to lay soon but no digging yet.

I am really glad that some of you are also sitting on eggs. It is nice to be able to compare notes with someone who's on the same page. Besides, we need to get the CBs up and running. Maybe then we will see less WCs in the shops!

i actually walked in on her when she was diggin the one hole (not 4 like the week before she layed the eggs) and she just FROZE (freeze tag like, one arm up) and stayed in the same position for a few min (like 6 or 7, FOREVER for a dragon, or a small child) she looked like she was hiding by staying still
I palpated her belly, no lumps in there, so we shall see
she is not digging up her worms, or eating much
again
we shall see
