reflection intimidating?!?!?!?!

BeardedDragon357 Nov 16, 2003 05:34 PM

Hi,
I have a 4-6 month old beardie not quite sure how old but i know he is some where between that age. I have him in an aquarium all temps right but sometimes when he is eating he will look at the glass and start puffing out his beard bobbing his and sometimes even jumps at the glass i think he is being intimidated by himself wierd right but so i can save him from a little stress does anyone know where i can get like a desert backround to tape to the glass or something like on fishtanks so he won't see as much of his reflection or if anyone knows another way to stop this not sure if this is a phase he is going through but i surely don't want him to rub his nose and such.
thanx
Tyler

Sure it's possible he is reacting to his own reflection. I have one that can see the crickets reflection behind him in the glass, and he runs at the glass thinking it's in front of him, LOL. He's smarting up a bit as he's growing up thankfully, and not falling for that anymore. UMM www.reptiledirect.com sells the tank backings, but of course you'll get charged shipping for it. This might be one of the things to pick up at a local pet store for less money if all your getting is the background.
